Plot

1st Street, a quaint neighborhood untouched by modern conveniences such as reliable plumbing and Internet, becomes the unexpected playground of Pilje, a real estate developer with plans to evict its charmingly unconventional residents for a massive redevelopment project. Upon his arrival, Pilje's blueprint of destruction begins to crumble. He crosses paths with Myeongnan, a fiery female pugilist with her sights set on the East Asian boxing championship, and a kaleidoscope of other extraordinary characters who promptly upset his tidy world. Myeongnan, a relentless dreamer who communicates chiefly with her fists, becomes an unexpected thorn in Pilje's side. She, along with the other endearing eccentrics of 1st Street, surprisingly embraces Pilje, not as an intruder, but as a part of their unique community. In a heartwarming twist, Pilje becomes a superhero in the eyes of the village's children after he revitalizes the hamlet's water supply and mends their rooftops. Pilje finds himself increasingly enchanted by the vivid tapestry of 1st Street and its delightfully quirky inhabitants. As he gradually immerses himself in their world, he is compelled to question his initial intent to bulldoze the vibrant, loveable town they have made their home. This charming tale is a testament to the power of community and the unexpected transformations that can result from the most unlikely of circumstances.
