Plot

In an epoch where gods and spirits reigned, a sinister empire commanded the world from a grand palace on the Island of Minus. Here, the locals revered the Bull, a deity whose union with the ambitious Queen bore a monstrous offspring, half human, half bull - the dreaded Minotaur. The death of a Prince on this forsaken island leads to the villagers being blamed, a judgment that binds them to a grim tradition - the annual sacrifice of eight innocent maidens to satiate the beast's hunger. Caught in this brutal cycle is the shepherd Theo (Tom Hardy), son of the village chieftain Cyrnan (Rutger Hauer), whose heart still aches for his lost love, Ffion (Donata Janietz), taken in a previous offering. Guided by the prophetic words of a leper seer, Theo clings to the belief that his beloved is yet alive, imprisoned within the palace's cold walls. Ignoring the pleas of his father, a burning rage fuels his resolve to confront the beast, rescue his love, and end the village's torment. Venturing into the heart of darkness, Theo finds himself amongst the other doomed youths, ripped away from their families and cast into the jaws of terror. In the palace's ominous depths, he crosses paths with the domineering King Deucalion (Tony Todd) and the enigmatic Queen Raphaella (Michelle Van Der Water). Unveiling chilling truths about the Minotaur, they stand as the final obstacles between Theo and his quest to slay the beast, reclaim his love, and shatter the shadow looming over his village. As both a rescue mission and a revenge plot unfold, the lines blur between myth and reality, shaping a timeless tale of love, courage, and defiance against the face of profound evil.
