Plot

In the bustling city of New York, Seymour Moskowitz is a jovial parking lot attendant whose constant search for companionship is often repelled by the people he encounters. His over-enthusiastic nature, while endearing to a select few, is often misread, leaving him in a lonely orbit. Thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, Minnie Moore, a museum employee, is grappling with her own solitude. Her faith in love and romance is tainted by unrealistic expectations set by the silver screen, leading to an unfulfilled personal life. Caught in a tumultuous affair with a married man named Jim, Minnie's insecurities about relationships deepen. When fate leads Seymour to relocate to Los Angeles, he stumbles upon Minnie after a disastrous blind date. Their initial encounter is far from a fairy-tale meet-cute, but something sparks between them. Despite the obvious disparities, they begin to navigate the murky waters of dating. Seymour appears to grasp the complexities of Minnie's feelings about relationships, offering her a semblance of understanding she's been longing for. However, even as they grow closer, Minnie finds herself questioning their unusual pairing. Seymour, with his eccentricities, is far from the movie ideal she had envisioned. Meanwhile, Seymour, oblivious to her doubts, is simply ecstatic at finding connection in a world that had earlier shunned his overtures. Together, they embark on a journey through the labyrinth of love and companionship, where disillusionment and hope coexist, painting a poignant portrait of romance in the modern world. Minnie and Moskowitz is a compelling exploration of the complexities of love and the universal search for connection.
