Meet the Spartans (2008)

In the heart-wrenchingly hilarious parody, "Meet the Spartans," the Spartan king, Leonidas, trained in the art of combat from cradle to crib, rules over a Sparta that teeters between idyllic tranquility and unabashed debauchery. When the domineering Persian king, Xerxes, demands their servitude, his messengers are unceremoniously relegated to a seemingly endless pit, setting the stage for an impending Persian onslaught. Corrupted priests and an oracle, swayed by riches, prophesy an imminent war, foretelling a gallant but fatal end for Sparta's warriors. Against this ominous prediction, Leonidas musters a motley crew of 13 warriors from his royal guard, sporting nothing more than leather underwear and capes. Their battlefield prowess extends beyond traditional combat, incorporating elements of hip-hop into their resistance. Strategically entrenched in the narrow pass of Thermopylae, they gain a significant advantage. However, their backdoor goat trail becomes their Achilles' heel when it's betrayed to Xerxes. Back in Sparta, the aptly named Traitoro sabotages the sensuous Queen Margo's desperate attempts, including sexual bribes, to rally a relief army. In this outrageous low-budget spoof, Leonidas and his 13 misfits stand against not just the Persian army, but an absurdly eclectic ensemble of intruders: the Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Autobots, a grotesquely distorted Paris Hilton and a bald Brittany Spears. "Meet the Spartans" is an audacious collision of historical epic and modern pop culture, promising a wild, unforgettable ride.
