In the heart of a bustling city, 36-year-old butcher Marty Pilletti leads a life steeped in solitude. Living under the same roof as his mother, he finds himself the lone bachelor amidst his wedded siblings. Chided by his mother and her friends, pressured to find a companion, Marty grapples with an unspoken truth - he's ensnared by loneliness, yearning for a love he feels he doesn't deserve. Convinced of his own inadequacy, he confesses to his mother his belief that his appearance repels any potential suitors.
His weekends are a monotonous cycle of attending dances with his friends, only to return home, each time, sinking deeper into despair. Yet, on one such night, the course of Marty's life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Clara. A shared sense of understanding sparks between them, lighting a beacon of hope in Marty's bleak world. However, if their connection is to flourish into a relationship, Marty must first navigate the treacherous waters of societal expectations and peer pressure.
