Plot

In the remote reaches of Russia lies Marks, a peculiar town named in honor of Karl Marks, the originator of communist ideology. This eccentric place operates a toy factory, where the inhabitants earn their living, not in the form of cash, but as an assortment of toys. The outside world is a distant murmur, with news trickling in as rare as a blue moon. One fateful morning, a train pulls into Marks bearing Boris, a former boxer, whose eyes are drawn to four letters: MAR_S. As Boris steps off the train, he begins to weave a rich tapestry of experiences, starting with his encounter with Grigoriy, a youthful idealist hopelessly smitten with Greta, the town's librarian. Greta, with dreams bigger than the town, yearns to escape the monotony of Marks. With each footstep, Boris is introduced to the unique personalities of Marks, but he soon discovers that even in this toy-filled oasis, the shadow of the past is a relentless pursuer. Unravel the intriguing story of Boris and the fascinating inhabitants of Marks in this captivating tale of dreams, love, and the haunting echoes of the past.
