Plot

In the bustling college town of Tallahassee, four audacious women, self-proclaimed "manaholics," reside in the boisterously named "House of Babes." They revel in their hard-partying lifestyle and publish a barely surviving zine, Biotch. Yet beneath their vivacious veneer, they question if life and love hold more than their current pleasure-seeking pursuits. Their introspection takes a surprising turn when a grad student friend presents an unconventional proposal for her thesis study, promising them her grant money to salvage their zine, Biotch. The catch? They must abstain from all forms of contact with men for 100 days. With reluctance, they accept the formidable challenge, and as word of their unique fast spreads, they find themselves thrust into the spotlight. Their decision to step away from their man-obsessed lives not only stirs the local media but also incites restlessness among the town's male population. The drama intensifies when the father of one of the "babes" announces on a national talk show that he will reward $1 million to the first man who can break the fast. The resulting frenzy sees hordes of men descending upon the town, turning their quiet experiment into a media circus that sparks debates about feminism and culture. Amidst the tumult, the babes navigate the tumultuous waters of their newly celibate lives. The journey forces them to confront their views on love, self-discovery, and the timeless war between the sexes. ManFast is an edgy, humorous tale about four women's quest for personal growth, drawing on a rich tapestry of influences from the ancient Greek play Lysistrata to modern-day campus life. Through their trials, they learn that life's most significant discoveries often come from the most unexpected challenges.
