Plot

In the heart of a mythical Latin American country, a daring expedition emerges from the depths of the impenetrable jungle. Led by the audacious soldier of fortune, Sgt. Darren McCall, and financed by the influential Harry Vargas, this expedition plunges into the wilderness on a mission shrouded in mystery and danger. This courageous team comprises of brilliant archaeologists Dr. Felicia and Lin, the local guide Santiago Zavala, and a steadfast baggage carrier, all of whom are supported by the resilient Carla Manning back at base, the vital link to their patron Harry. Their collective obsession revolves around a single object of immense power - a stunning dagger, adorned with a ruby that glimmers with a foreboding allure. Their journey leads them to an ancient burial ground, where a tomb facing south lies nestled in sacred earth, holding within its stone clutches the coveted dagger. Against the warnings etched onto the tomb, Lin extracts the dagger from its skeletal guardian, a decision that triggers a cascade of terrifying events. The very jungle they had conquered turns against them, as a long-dormant creature stirs from its slumber. An entity that is part plant, part animal, and wholly bloodthirsty is awakened by the dagger's disturbance, setting off a nightmarish feeding frenzy. This monstrous creation of nature, combined with the wrath of the native Yamballi tribe, unleashes a relentless pursuit on the expedition team. As they realize their predecessors faced a similarly gruesome fate, the chilling reality of their situation dawns upon them. Amidst the shadows of the jungle, their hope for survival and escape diminishes, turning their quest for the ruby-encrusted dagger into a desperate fight for their lives.
