Plot

In 1974, the French street performer and tightrope walker Philippe Petit illegally strings wire between the Twin Towers in New York City and sets out to walk across it. The entire endeavor is ingeniously planned by Petit and a group of friends as though it were a bank heist, fulfilling a longtime dream of Petit's.
