Upon receiving an urgent call from the sheriff of Bornsville about the perplexing theft of Pamela Rose's coffin, former FBI agent Douglas Riper seizes the opportunity to reunite with his estranged partner, Richard Bullit. Once revered stars of the Bureau, both men now find themselves on the periphery, their glory days a fading memory. The investigation, however, quickly reveals itself to be a sinister snare laid by an old nemesis who harbors a deep-seated grudge against them.
