Plot

Coursing through her veins is the legacy of the legendary Flo Fabert, but Bibiane Champagne, a 25-year-old fashion entrepreneur in Quebec, is barely keeping her life from spiraling out of control. Her boutiques, co-run with her brother Philippe, are teetering on the brink of failure, a consequence of her turbulent inner world, marred by substance abuse and the ghosts of a recent abortion. The weight of unrealized expectations presses heavily on Bibi's shoulders, amplifying her self-doubt and feeding her demons. But there's another voice telling her story. A fish, poised on the edge of a butcher's block, narrates Bibi's chaotic journey. This choice of narrator stems from an unexpected meeting with Annstein Karlsen, a 53-year-old Norwegian fishmonger, an encounter that ripples out, shifting the course of Bibi's life in unforeseen ways. In the aftermath of this chance meeting, Bibi's life careens further off track, pulling her into a tangled web of decisions, both regrettable and transformative. She finds herself crossing paths with Annstein's son, Evian, who remains oblivious to the intricate ties binding his father and Bibi. As their paths intertwine, Evian might just be the beacon lighting the way to redemption for Bibi, offering her a glimmer of hope amidst the ruins of her life.
