Maggie Scott, a rising star at the luxurious New York clothing store Barclay Ames, finds herself quickly ascending from a model to an assistant buyer. Her rapid rise is a blend of hard work, natural talent, and a touch of romance with "Barclay Jr.", Ted, a notorious ladies man who sees more in Maggie than his usual flings. As the model of professionalism, Maggie maintains a cool demeanor, sparking even more interest from Ted. As if the situation wasn't complex enough, Ted arrives in Paris, determined to salvage the account but ends up stirring more chaos.
