Plot

When Omi Khurana (Kunal Kapoor), a charming yet deceitful prodigal son, returns to his familial roots in Punjab after a decade of self-imposed exile in London, he finds his ancestral home buzzing with vibrant characters and simmering with unspoken tensions. Pursued by a ruthless London gangster to whom he owes money, Omi weaves a web of lies, presenting himself as a wealthy lawyer, his life filled with Ferraris and the grandeur of Buckingham Palace. Omi's return stirs a whirlwind of emotions among his relatives, from delight and suspicion to resentment and secret affection. His childhood sweetheart, Harman (Huma Qureshi), now a local physician yet still the rough-edged girl from their school days, is torn between her lingering love for Omi and her apprehension of his true character. Meanwhile, Omi's dignified Uncle Hemraj views his nephew's return with a guarded eye, his instincts telling him that all might not be as it seems. At the heart of this familial chaos lies a secret as tantalising as it is elusive - the recipe for 'Chicken Khurana', a dish so famous it put the Khurana dhaba (restaurant) on the culinary map of Punjab. The recipe, known only to Omi's senile grandfather Darji, who now confuses people with menu items and serenades crows, has the potential to restore the family's pride and wealth, making it Omi's prime target. As Omi strives to unearth this culinary treasure amidst the colourful pandemonium of eccentric uncles, a pot-smoking God woman, a man servant who considers himself family, and an undergarment selling brother-in-law with real estate dreams, he must navigate a labyrinth of family secrets, unrequited love, and his own deceptions. Will he recover the lost 'Chicken Khurana' recipe or will his web of lies unravel? 'Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana' serves up a hearty helping of family, love, and deceit, simmered in humor and seasoned with a dash of the unexpected.
