In the bustling metropolis of Hong Kong, 2007 saw the dawn of a new era as health authorities enforced a stringent anti-smoking law. This legislation pushed smokers, once huddled in cozy office corners, into the bustling streets for their nicotine fixes. This led to the birth of unique social clusters, known as "hot pot packs," where office smokers from adjacent buildings gather, bonding over shared stories and smoky exhalations. Amidst the cacophony of chatty colleagues and city noise, we find the timid and unassuming ad executive, Jimmy. He crosses paths with Cherie, a vivacious cosmetics salesgirl, during a habitual afternoon smoke break. Their first encounter sparks an awkward yet enchanting dance of flirtation, unfolding against the backdrop of swirling smoke and urban hustle. As their fascination for each other deepens, Jimmy and Cherie slowly drift away from their smoke-shrouded comrades towards a secluded alley. Here, amidst hushed whispers and shared cigarettes, they engage in emotionally profound conversations that reveal their layered personas. As the smoke curls around them, an unmistakable connection blossoms, leading them down an intriguing path of shared secrets and growing affection.
