Lost Dream (2009)

On the brink of graduating from a revered private institution, Perry Roberts, the progeny of a morally bankrupt Congressman, finds himself grappling with disillusionment. Once a firm believer in the sanctity of family, the reliability of love, and the allure of the American Dream, Perry now navigates through life in a state of emotional desolation and profound depression. In his pursuit of self-realization, Perry encounters Giovanni, a brooding art student endowed with untapped potential but marred by a harrowing past. Raised amidst domestic abuse and a revolving door of foster homes, Giovanni’s existence is a whirlwind of narcotics, carnal pleasures, and a lethal game of Russian Roulette. In the chaos of Giovanni's world, Perry sees an uncorrupted spirit, an entity immune to societal constraints. Giovanni, however, perceives Perry as a privileged dilettante flirting with existential despair. This unlikely duo finds themselves locked in a dance of understanding and acceptance, with Perry yearning for Giovanni to acknowledge the authenticity of his torment, and Giovanni challenging Perry to participate in his perilous game to validate his anguish. As their unusual camaraderie unfurls amidst a haze of drug-induced emotions, their destinies precariously teeter on the edge of a deadly revolver.
