Plot

In the shadowed world of art, Basil Hallward (Denis Manuel) is an average painter, his works gaining acclaim not from talent, but rather from his social standing. Life takes an intriguing turn when he crosses paths with Dorian Gray (Patrice Alexandre), a stunning embodiment of youth and allure. Dorian's captivating presence sparks a creative fire in Basil, leading him to create a profoundly unsettling masterpiece: a portrait of Dorian himself. Drawn to his own image, Dorian expresses a chilling wish, willing to barter his soul for eternal youth. Enter Lord Henry (Raymond Gérome), a friend of Basil's, a character of idle intelligence and insidious charm. He takes the helm of Dorian's life, guiding him down a path of unrelenting decadence. Under Lord Henry's influence, Dorian descends into a spiral of malevolence. Yet, while his soul is tainted, his physical beauty remains untouched. His portrait, however, tells a different tale. It carries the burden of his sins, aging and decaying as Dorian indulges in his hedonistic lifestyle. The haunting portrait becomes an unbearable testament to Dorian's evil deeds, leading him to stab the painting in a fit of obsession. This act seals his fate, causing his sudden death. In a chilling twist, the once repulsive portrait reverts to its original state, depicting a young man, while Dorian's lifeless body lies at its foot, transformed into a hideous old man. The tale of Dorian Gray is a gripping exploration of vanity, desire, and the monstrous consequences of eternal youth.
