Lawless Range (1935)

When small-town hero John Middleton is dispatched by his father to aid their friend Mason, he instead finds himself in the midst of a lawless range, ruled by the iron fist of Burns' notorious gang. With Mason mysteriously vanished and the town under siege, the courageous John devises a daring plan: a grand cattle drive to replenish the beleaguered town's supplies. However, the town's seemingly benign Banker Carter has a duplicitous plan of his own. He cunningly convinces the local ranchers to launch the drive prematurely, setting the stage for Burns' gang to rustle the cattle with ease. In a further twist of treachery, the gang captures John, isolating him from the escalating chaos. Simultaneously, John finds himself sharing his prison - a cold, desolate cave - with Emmett, a rancher who had been missing. Aided by their shared adversity, the pair plot an audacious escape. In the process, they uncover a shocking revelation.
