Law of the Lawless (1964)

In the grimy, dust-coated town of Stone Junction, Kansas, 1889, Clem Rogers, notoriously dubbed "the Hanging Judge", finds himself entangled in a web of intrigue and deception. He's arrived to oversee the murder trial of Pete Stone, progeny of the iron-fisted town overlord, "Big Tom" Stone. The plot thickens when Rogers discovers that Joe Rile, the man who extinguished his father's life, is now entangled in the schemes of Stone. The cunning Stone, yearning to tarnish Rogers' reputation, orchestrates a scandal: his henchmen deposit the battered, semi-conscious Ellie Irish in Rogers' hotel room, igniting a storm of scandal. As the trial dawns, an ominous wave of strangers, clad in black, descend upon the town, their sole purpose to pack the courtroom. Stone reveals his chilling trump card to Rogers: each individual in the courtroom has been personally scarred by Rogers' ruthless justice, and they are all armed, waiting for his command. Defying Rogers to condemn his son to the gallows, Stone challenges Rogers to uphold his title in the face of overwhelming odds.
