Last Vermont Christmas (2018)

In the picturesque town of Woodstock, Vermont, the three Marvin sisters, dispersed across the nation, return to their family home for a traditional two-week Christmas gathering. The eldest, Megan, a widowed executive chef, and her young daughter Ivy, jet in from Austin, Texas, a city they relocated to due to Megan's late husband’s career. Despite Megan's professional success in Austin, she yearns for the comfort of her hometown. Middle sibling Bethany, a lawyer with a conservative lifestyle, arrives from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her college professor husband George, hiding the early stages of her first pregnancy. The youngest, Audrey, unexpectedly returns home penniless from Nashville, Tennessee, abandoning her pursuit of a music degree to make ends meet with odd jobs, including performing. Their reunion, however, is hit by a bombshell. Their parents, Daniel and Peggy Marvin, announce their plans to retire, sell their beloved family home, and relocate to a condo in sunny Arizona. Each sister reacts differently; Audrey vehemently opposes the decision, Bethany respects their choice, and Megan, deeply rooted in family traditions, quietly accepts the change. The situation further spirals when Megan's high school sweetheart, Nash, who recently returned to Woodstock from southern California, emerges as a partner in the prospective purchase of their family home. The sparks reignite between Megan and Nash, complicating matters as Megan grapples with her feelings for Nash, her loyalty to her late husband James, and the possible sale of their beloved family home. As she navigates these emotional crossroads, the fate of their home and her heart becomes intertwined, impacting the course of their traditional Last Vermont Christmas.
