Ko (2011)

In the pulsating heart of Tamil Nadu's political arena, Ashwin (Jiiva) is a tenaciously dedicated photographer for the popular daily 'Dina Anjali'. His uncanny ability to capture truth through his lens makes him a celebrated figure in his office, drawing the admiration of two female journalists, the investigative Renuka (Karthika) and entertainment-focused Saro (Piaa). As the state's assembly elections commence, two power-hungry politicians, Chief Minister Yogeswaran (Prakash Raj) and opposition leader Kota (Kota Sreenivasa Rao), engage in a ruthless tug-of-war for control. Their tactics, saturated with bribery and incited violence, threaten to tarnish the democratic fabric of the state. Amidst this chaos, Renuka's daring exposés and Ashwin's revealing photographs catalyze the rise of a third player - the youthful Vasanthan (Ajmal), a beacon of clean politics. However, an ominous cloud looms over their campaign when a bomb detonates at Vasanthan's youth rally, claiming Saro's life. The public, stoked by Ashwin's conviction, places the blame on the traditional politicians and rallies behind Vasanthan, propelling him to victory as the youngest Chief Minister.
