Plot

In the pulsing heart of Danish politics, just three weeks shy of the general elections, a catastrophic car accident leaves the leader of the powerful Center Party hospitalized, plunging the political landscape into turmoil. This sudden void of leadership in one of the country's largest parties sets the stage for a vicious power struggle, with the party's chairman Erik Dreier and spokesperson Lone Kjeldsen vying for control. Meanwhile, Ulrik Torp, a young, ambitious journalist, finds himself thrust into the eye of the storm. Having recently been appointed as the correspondent for Dagbladet in Parliament, he is caught in the whirlwind of deceit and power plays that dominate the political scene. As the press speculates and lies are spun into webs of misleading narratives, the personal lives of those involved begin to unravel under the weight of the controversy. Determined to unearth the truth, Ulrik stumbles upon a cynical plot that ominously implicates the country's incumbent Prime Minister. His relentless pursuit of justice turns into an obsession, but his revelations fall on deaf ears among his colleagues in the press corps and the seasoned politicians. As the countdown to the election ticks down, Ulrik finds himself standing alone against the formidable power elite. "King's Game" is an exhilarating journey into the ruthless world of politics, where ambition can make allies into enemies, and the quest for power can shatter lives and reputations. Will Ulrik uncover the truth in time, or will he be silenced by the titans of the political world he dared to challenge?
