Plot
In the quiet town of Rutland, tension begins to bubble under the surface as the town's dam, an emblem of safety, starts to show alarming signs of wear. Emerging from the shadows of his past, David Powell, the original architect of the dam, returns. Once scorned and ousted by the profit-hungry Walker, David's return is met with skepticism and hostility.
Despite the personal cost, he insists on draining and inspecting the dam, a proposal that Walker dismisses as expensive and time-consuming. Undeterred, David ventures to the dam, where his expert eyes discover troubling anomalies. He approaches his estranged wife, now the deputy mayor, with his looming concerns. However, the old wounds of abandonment taint his warnings, causing her to turn a deaf ear in her resentment.
Simultaneously, David embarks on a journey to mend the fractured relationship with his son, who harbors a deep resentment towards him for his earlier desertion. As the dam threatens to break, it becomes a metaphor for the crumbling walls between David and his family, and the entire town of Rutland teeters on the brink of disaster. The suspense builds as David fights against time, disbelief, and personal demons to prevent a killer flood.
