Plot

Born in the contrasting worlds of Calcutta's bustling city and Chamoli's quaint village, destiny weaves together the paths of Karan Roy (Fardeen Khan) and Khushi Singh (Kareena Kapoor). Khushi, the beloved only child of Vir Bhadra Singh (Amrish Puri), is cherished and doted upon in her Punjab home until the day her father insists on her marriage. Defying the conventions, she moves to Bombay to continue her studies. Karan, on the other hand, harbours dreams of studying in Canada, but a twist of fate anchors him in Mumbai University. At the University, their paths cross amidst a whirlwind of romantic conundrums involving their friends, Vicky and Priya. As they unite to mend the romantic woes of their friends, an unexpected bond sparks between Karan and Khushi, setting them on an uncharted course of love. However, their blissful journey is riddled with complications. The menacing Zohravar Singh (Sharat Saxena) seeks revenge against Karan, holding him responsible for his daughter Priya's marriage to a humble college student. Meanwhile, Khushi stumbles upon Karan's unsettling closeness with a woman named Madhu and Roma, a fellow college student, casting a shadow of doubt over their relationship. As the sands of time threaten to separate them, with Karan's impending relocation to Canada and Khushi's obligation to marry a man chosen by her father, they find themselves at a crossroads. Struggling to reconcile their differences, they must confront their turbulent pasts and uncertain futures. Will the bonds of love triumph over the trials of destiny? The captivating tale of Khushi takes you on a roller coaster of emotions, exploring the complexities of love, loyalty, and familial duties.
