In the heart of Chandangarh's turmoil, DCP Anant Shrivastav (Amitabh Bachchan) is bestowed with a mission of grave importance: to escort the alleged terrorist Iqbal Ansari (Atul Kulkarni) to Mumbai. His team, a motley crew of police officers including the seasoned Inspector Shekhar Sachdev (Akshay Kumar), and the greenhorn Ashwin Gupte (Tusshar Kapoor), finds an unexpected addition in Mahalakshmi (Aishwarya Rai) - the sole witness to the menacing Yashwant Angre (Ajay Devgan).
