Kazaam (1996)

In the perilous urban jungle known as the 'hood', young Max finds himself a solitary survivor. His clever ruse tricks a menacing gang after he stumbles upon their illicit schoolyard cornering, only to ignite their fury when they discover the key he offered as a peace offering is worthless for their planned heist. With the specter of revenge looming, Max is hounded through the labyrinthine streets of his neighborhood, each alley echoing the gang's relentless pursuit. His desperate flight leads him to the weathered doors of an abandoned warehouse, a sanctuary that proves futile as his pursuers infiltrate its ominous shadows. Amid the cluttered aisles brimming with relics of the past, Max's escape takes an unexpected turn when he collides with an antiquated boombox. From the collision, Kazaam, a genie ensnared in millennia-long captivity, is set free. Freedom, however, comes with a condition. To maintain his liberty, Kazaam is bound to grant Max three wishes. A swirl of magical possibilities now wraps around Max, a beacon of hope in his otherwise bleak existence.
