In the bustling heart of Kansas City, Rosie Sturgess, a sharp-witted manicurist with a penchant for gold-digging, finds her life entwined with her gangster fiancée, "Dynamite" Carson, and her wise-cracking friend, Marie Callahan. When Dynamite leaves town, Rosie's mischievous side takes over, leading her to cross paths with the sly Jimmy the Dude.
