In the heart of the Christmas season, the widowed Paul Stevenson, along with his two daughters - the mature 15-year-old Esther and the spirited 10-year-old Kassie - find themselves in the snow-starved resort town of Heber Valley, Utah. Paul's new responsibility as the general manager of the Heber Valley Bank coincides with the town's economic struggle, awaiting the arrival of snow to reinvigorate its winter tourism. When Paul discovers Scoot, he surprises his daughters, allowing them to keep the resilient canine who has already become Kassie's first true friend in Heber Valley. As the charity donations, safeguarded in a locked glass box at the heart of the bank, begin to amass, a menacing shadow looms. The two newly hired security guards, who are none other than the criminals Scoot, formerly Jake, once foiled, plot a wicked scheme to plunder the charity funds. Oblivious to their true identities and the impending danger, Kassie, her friends, and the valiant Scoot find themselves at the center of an unexpected winter adventure, as they stand between the ruthless thieves and the spirit of Christmas.
