In the vibrant whirl of New York City, acclaimed concert flutist, Susan Berlanger, graces the orchestra pit of a renowned ballet company. Her talent transcends boundaries, and her parents are arranging a European tour to amplify her professional stature. Yet, beneath the spotlight, Susan harbours a personal conflict - a limp resulting from viral encephalitis at age nine. Among these are a competitive American skier, Steve Haslachez; a Parisienne, Nicole Schallon, waiting for her married lover; François Rossignol, a ski equipment executive who empathizes with her physical challenges; and Peter Nichols, a globe-trotting photographer with a captivating charm. Despite their tumultuous start, Susan finds herself irresistibly drawn to Peter. However, the looming truth of her disability threatens their burgeoning romance. Susan is propelled into a poignant dilemma of whether to integrate herself into Peter's adventurous life, which would mean revealing her hidden disability. Will she risk everything for a chance at love, or will her past experiences extinguish her newfound hope?
