Gangaram, affectionately known as Ganga (Govinda), is the heart of his small village, living a simple, straightforward life with his adoptive parents (Shivaji Satham and Reema Lagoo). His heart is entwined with Saawni (Sonali Bendre), his childhood sweetheart, who shares his love for simple village life. Just as Ganga is preparing to marry, he discovers his biological parents are wealthy city dwellers who wish for him to join their world.
