In the bustling chaos of modern life, we find Jack - a free-spirited, non-materialistic soul whose only aim is to earn enough to get by. While most chase the illusion of wealth, Jack's true passion lies in immersing himself within the intricate world of detective novels, nurturing a dream to pen down his own mystery one day. Life takes a whimsical turn when Jack becomes enamored with the idea of owning a dog, setting him on a collision course with the affluent businessman, Mr. Walia (Arbaaz Khan), who is eager to sell his canine companion.
However, their encounter veers off on an unexpected path, transforming Jack into an amateur sleuth. His ambition to acquire the dog unwittingly plunges him into the enigmatic life of Mr. Walia's wife, Shilpa (Sonal Chauhan). As Jack begins to unravel the secrets of Shilpa's existence, an unforeseen closeness develops between the two, setting a ticking clock on his mission to discover the mysterious man in Shilpa's world.
In the midst of this, Shilpa stumbles upon Jack's tumultuous on-again, off-again romance with his model girlfriend, Lara (Evelyn Sharma). As Shilpa recounts her own nostalgic love story with a now business-obsessed Walia, Jack confesses his feelings for her. This revelation throws Walia into disbelief and anger, leading him to a harsh realization of his neglect towards his wife.
In a final act of defiance, Jack challenges Walia to win back his estranged wife. Faced with a daunting task, will Walia rise to the occasion or retreat back to his business empire? Will Shilpa choose freedom or fight to reclaim her love? And amidst all this, will Jack succeed in his quest for the dog and win back his wayward girlfriend, Lara? Jack & Dil weaves a tale of love, mystery, and the pursuit of happiness in the most unexpected places.
