Plot

Haunted by the savage demise of his family, Jack Brooks carries the weight of his past into his restless adulthood, shackled by an unfulfilling relationship, fruitless therapy sessions, and night classes that fail to ignite his interest. This seemingly mundane existence takes an unexpected turn when an ancient curse is unwittingly released by his science professor, who undergoes a grotesque metamorphosis into a creature that is far from human. Haunted by the specter of a childhood monster, Jack is plagued with self-accusation and an uncontrollable fury that fuels his existence. As the curse begins to cast its dark shadow over the world, Jack finds himself on the precipice of an unthinkable destiny. He is catapulted from his dreary day-to-day life into a battle with formidable demons, both those that lurk in his past and the new ones forged by the curse. In the face of this horrifying transformation and the impending doom, Jack must embrace the hero within him and confront the guilt that has long consumed him. As a monster slayer, the man once crippled by his traumatic past must face his deepest fears and the very monsters that echo the brutal murder of his family. The fate of the world hangs in the balance, and Jack Brooks finds himself at the center of a battle that is as much internal as it is external.
