Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998)

In the heart of India, the unruly Suraj Dhanrajgir (Salman Khan) finds himself the ward of his paternal grandfather, the respected Mr. Dhanrajgir, or Dadaji (Anupam Kher), after the tragic demise of his parents. His grandfather assigns Mahesh the responsibility of Suraj's upbringing, a task that proves to be quite challenging, as Suraj develops a wayward lifestyle, filled with casual flings and frivolous indulgence in alcohol. Concerned about his grandson's reckless treatment of women, Dadaji sternly advises Suraj to mend his ways. Love, however, has its own plan when Suraj stumbles upon the enchanting Komal Sinha (Twinkle Khanna). Despite being beguiled by his charm, Komal, who resides with her uncle and aunt, resists Suraj's advances due to his notorious reputation. Desperate to win over his dream girl, Suraj adopts a deceptive course and impersonates Suraj Dhanwa, a childhood friend of Komal and her family. His charade pays off as Komal, unaware of his real identity, falls for him. Their budding romance, however, meets a harsh end when the actual Suraj Dhanwa appears, and the truth of Suraj's deceit is brought to light, leading to their separation. Disheartened, Komal doubts Suraj's ability to change his flirtatious nature and is deeply hurt by his impersonation. As Suraj grapples with the consequences of his actions and strives to regain Komal's trust, his life spirals into further complexity when a young boy named Kabir unexpectedly arrives, asserting that Suraj is his father. This revelation threatens to shatter Suraj's world, creating a whirlwind of emotions and trials that he must navigate, all while trying to win back the love of his life.
