Plot

Daniel, a dedicated schoolmaster helming a kindergarten in a quaint French town, is caught in the midst of a societal storm. The town's lifeblood, its coal industry, has been crippled, leaving its economy in a state of ruin. The repercussions echo through the lives of the inhabitants, with the children bearing the brunt of the despair. As parents succumb to unemployment-induced poverty and desolation, Daniel finds himself in the heart of this unfolding crisis. Despite the issues being far removed from his conventional duties, Daniel feels a profound obligation to address them. However, his path is fraught with obstacles; politicians more focused on budget cuts than people, overworked teachers, social workers and policemen, and utility companies relentless in their pursuit of unpaid bills. The intricate maze of French social and educational services further complicates the situation. Daniel's personal life is also far from serene; his relationships with his parents, his fiancée Valeria, and her son, are laced with difficulties. Yet, he presses on, joining hands with his loyal kindergarten staff, striving to nurture the future of a society on the brink of collapse. "It All Starts Today" is a compelling narrative of resilience and tenacity, a testament to the power of education amidst adversity, and a portrayal of the everyday heroes who strive to uphold the future, even when the present seems bleak.
