Plot

In the throes of one of Oregon's most tempestuous tempests, a gifted young cellist retreats to the vast sanctuary of her apartment, seeking solace and tranquility. However, the soothing melodies of her cello soon give way to a disconcerting symphony of fear as she begins to suspect that she may not be the sole inhabitant of her supposed sanctuary. Intruder masterfully crafts a tale of suspense, as the serene seclusion of the cellist's home transforms into a claustrophobic labyrinth of paranoia. With the stark modernity and chilling simplicity of Paranormal Activity intertwined with the filmic finesse of Hitchcock's Rope, this film delivers a jarring psychological thriller that will make you question the safety of solitude. This chilling narrative features the talents of John Robinson, known for his roles in Elephant and Lords of Dogtown, and introduces us to the dynamic Scottish actress Louise Linton in her inaugural US leading role. The story unfolds under the skilled direction of Travis Zarwiny, painting a haunting portrait of domestic terror. Intruder is a cinematic paradox of comfort and fear, a reminder that danger may lurk even in the most familiar of places.
