Plot

In the bustling heart of downtown, Soo-a, an ordinary young woman, suffers an extraordinary fate when she is kidnapped in broad daylight. Whisked away to a grim psychiatric hospital, she is imprisoned without explanation. The sterile hospital walls serve as the backdrop for a chilling narrative of forced drug injections, brutal torture, and unspeakable violence. Lost in this waking nightmare, Soo-a clings to her sanity by meticulously chronicling her ordeal. Each harrowing detail etched into the pages of a secret notebook, her only companion in the lonesome abyss of her captivity. A year later, a notebook surfaces in the hands of Nam-soo, a diligent TV-journalist. Initially dismissing it as a dark jest, Nam-soo soon finds himself entwined in the horrifying reality of Soo-a's words. The details, too grotesque to be fiction, resonate with shocking authenticity, shaking him to his core. Compelled by an unnerving mixture of horror and fascination, he embarks on a quest for truth, tracing the chilling breadcrumbs left behind by Soo-a. His search leads him to a prison, where Soo-a languishes as a suspect in a murder case. The only survivor of a mysterious fire, she struggles to unearth a truth buried beneath the ashes, a truth more sinister than her own ordeal. As Nam-soo delves deeper, he becomes desperate to free Soo-a and reveal the horrifying reality that is cloaked in the deceptive tranquility of the psychiatric hospital. The narrative weaves a chilling tapestry of deceit, violence, and the quest for truth, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats, questioning the line between sanity and insanity.
