In from the Night (2006)

In "In from the Night," Victoria 'Vicki' Miller is a burgeoning novelist, disconnected from her troubled family, who finds her life suddenly entwined with her 16-year-old nephew, Bobby Miller. After a decade of silence, Bobby arrives unexpectedly on her doorstep, his eyes mirroring years of neglect and unspoken nightmares. He's a runaway from his self-centered mother, Priscilla, and his weak-willed father, Rob - Vicki's own brother. Haunted by his past and seeking refuge, Bobby was once whisked away from his dysfunctional home by their late father to live with Vicki's sister, Ruth.
