I Dreamed of Africa (2000)

In the captivating movie, "I Dreamed of Africa," we meet Kuki, a resilient Italian socialite whose life takes an unexpected turn following a severe car accident. Spurred by this brush with mortality, she audaciously agrees to marry Paolo Gallmann, a man she scarcely knows, and ventures with him and her young son into the heart of Kenya to carve out a life on a cattle ranch. Her new existence is far from the comfort of her previous life, punctuated with Paolo's thrill-seeking pursuits that often leave Kuki and her son alone amidst the wild and untamed African landscape. Kuki's courage is tested as she confronts the fury of nature in the form of tumultuous storms, prowling lions, and deadly serpents, along with the human threats of ruthless poachers. In an attempt to establish harmony in this volatile environment, Kuki must also navigate a delicate relationship with a neighboring tribe, even as her mother implores her to return to the safety of Italy.
