I Am Here (2015)

Maria, a triumphant businesswoman in Germany, revels in a content marriage but grapples with a haunting void - the longing for a child of her own. Every attempt at motherhood ends in heartbreak, as she finds herself caught in a cycle of miscarriages. When the crushing reality of permanent infertility is revealed, Maria contemplates adoption, but faces opposition from her husband. However, their noble intentions are a mere naivety in the eyes of the Russian mafia, the ruthless puppeteers of the local prostitution ring. As Maria steps deeper into this perilous journey to fulfill her dream, the danger escalates, pulling her and everyone connected to her into a vortex of life-threatening risks.
