Hydra (2009)

In the aftermath of a grisly scientific expedition on a secluded volcanic island, an ancient beast wakes from its long slumber, its ominous presence a terrifying echo of Greek mythology. This is the setting for an adrenaline-fueled game run by the ultra-wealthy, who pay a king's ransom for the thrill of hunting the most dangerous prey: humans. Among the unwilling participants in this deadly sport is former Marine Tim Nolan, who, along with three hardened convicts, finds himself marooned on an island that's anything but deserted. Unbeknownst to the thrill-seeking hunters, they are not the only predators on this island, and their game of cat and mouse quickly becomes a desperate fight for survival. As the hunters become the hunted, they must confront the island's true terror: the Lernaean Hydra, a multi-headed serpent from the darkest corners of lore. This monstrous adversary, with its scales glistening in the volcanic light, adds a lethal twist to the already dangerous game. With the hunters and their human prey now trapped in a deadly triangle with the monstrous Hydra, the question remains: is there a force formidable enough to tame the ancient beast and survive the island's blood-soaked nightmare?
