In the pulsating heart of the vibrant Gypsy clan, we find Stefano Torino, a man eager to renounce his cultural ties. Known now as Steve, he yearns for a life untangled from his roots. His brother, the crafty Marco, however, has a different vision. To tether Steve to their heritage, Marco orchestrates a matrimonial scheme with a fiery Gypsy woman from Chicago, Annie Caldash.
As the arrangement unfolds, Steve finds himself reluctant to the marriage. Annie, however, subverts expectations by revealing her own escape plan. She never intended to honor the marital pact, only agreeing to the farce to secure the $2000 promised by Marco to her father. Intrigued by her audacity, Steve decides to play along with the charade.
But just as quicksilver as her initial plan, Annie shifts the game when she unexpectedly develops a desire to truly marry Steve. Caught in his own ruse, Steve flees for several months, hoping to escape the complicated web he's found himself in. Yet, upon his return, he's met with Annie's surprising plea for a divorce. This unforeseen twist forces Steve to reevaluate his choices, pushing him to the brink of a life-altering decision.
