Plagued by enigmatic nightmares since her earliest memories, Jessica finds herself drawn to the study of dreams and their underlying psychophysiology. In a quest to decipher her haunting dreams, she immerses herself in therapy with her mentor and lover, Sean. The sudden death of her estranged maternal grandmother compels her to reluctantly return to her ancestral home, a place filled with unresolved tension and cold memories of her mother. Upon her arrival, Jessica uncovers the chilling reality of her grandmother's wake unfolding just a chamber away from her own. Sleep delivers no respite, instead, she becomes ensnared in a bizarre nightmare where she encounters her deceased grandmother. This troubling experience leaves her feverish and confined to her bed. In her fever-induced lethargy, Jessica decides to venture into the realm of lucid dreaming, guided by Sean's counsel and the faint whiff of ether. As her grip on the conscious world loosens, she descends deeper into a nightmarish labyrinth, inhabited by grotesque caricatures of her family members. As she hones her prowess as a lucid dreamer, Jessica embarks on a quest to unravel the mystery gnawing at her soul, a mystery that lurks within the shadowed corners of her family home. She dares to wrest control over her nightmares, navigating the chilling dreamscape that blurs the line between reality and the depths of her subconscious.
