Plot

As the law closes in on their criminal operations in a bustling eastern city, cunning gang-leader "Doc" Kramer ingeniously relocates his crew to the untamed landscapes of Wyoming. Here, they begin to impose an extortion racket on unsuspecting cattlemen, causing a wave of tension to ripple through the rustic community. Simultaneously, charming western movie star Jeffrey Carson is on the brink of saying farewell to the wild west, when his old friend, G. Gadsby Holmes, a quirky Hollywood film writer, arrives unexpectedly. Holmes, seeking refuge from a complicated divorce situation back in Hollywood, convinces Carson to stay and embrace the thrill of a hunting expedition until the heat dies down back west. Meanwhile, Kramer's menacing antics have caught the attention of strong-willed rancher Violet Butler and her vibrant niece, Joyce. As the women refuse to bow to Kramer's pressure, their refusal incites the wrath of the gangster, triggering a fearful stampede of their cattle. Drawn to Joyce's fiery spirit and the escalating conflict, Carson, the Hollywood cowboy, takes on an unexpected role. He becomes an employee at the Butler ranch, finding himself entwined in their struggle against Kramer's ruthless gang. What was once a relaxing escape from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, swiftly turns into a dangerous fight for justice, with Carson standing as the unlikely hero against the encroaching tyranny.
