In the heart-warming comedy, Holiday in Handcuffs, struggling artist and waitress, Gertrude 'Trudie' Chandler experiences the ultimate Christmas Eve meltdown. Losing both her job and her boyfriend Nick, she's left feeling like the outcast of her picture-perfect family. To save face, she hatches a desperate plan - replace the beloved Nick with an even more handsome and desirable man, David Martin. She lures David into her world at gunpoint, whisking him away to a remote, luxuriously rustic log cabin for the family holiday.
As Trudie spirals deeper into a web of far-fetched lies, David finds himself unable to convince the Chandler clan of his true identity. His attempted escape is foiled time and again by Trudie's wild tales. It's only after a frantic distress call to his pampered fiancee, that David decides to turn the tables and play along as the perfect boyfriend, all the while planning to make Trudie's undoing all the more spectacular.
However, as the police edge closer to the cabin, an unexpected bond begins to form between David, Trudie, and her quirky family. Amidst the chaos, they all discover their own imperfections and form a deeper understanding of what truly matters in life. In a surprising twist, David and Trudie find themselves reassessing their initial impressions of each other, leading to an unpredictable end to this festive escapade.
