Hit List (1989)

In the shadowy underbelly of crime, gangster kingpin Vincent Luca stands on the brink of judgement day. His empire of nefarious deeds is set to be picked apart in court, yet his informant nestled within the police force provides him with a dark advantage: the names and whereabouts of the witnesses against him. As Luca orchestrates a merciless killing spree to silence them, a fatal misstep occurs. During the last hit, the seasoned assassin mistakenly infiltrates the wrong house, leaving a chilling scene of chaos and horror in his wake. Mark Collins, the unsuspecting homeowner, returns to find his pregnant wife unconscious in the kitchen, his friend lifeless in the living room, and his son mysteriously vanished. The corrupt police officer, in a twisted bid to protect Luca, convinces him that Collins' son is the true witness and thrusts Collins behind bars. Yet, Collins' spirit remains unbroken. He daringly escapes the clutches of prison and, fueled by a rage only a betrayed father could know, takes justice into his own hands. In this gritty tale of vengeance, the lines between right and wrong blur as Collins embarks on a desperate quest to reclaim his stolen world and bring Luca's reign of terror to an end.
