In a world where resources have dwindled, unemployment benefits denied, and savings accounts are barren, we meet Darius and Josephine Blackmon. They find themselves in an unimaginable predicament, reduced to living in their car with their two young children. Their lifelines, the family and friends who once offered aid, are now mired in their own financial struggles and can't extend help any longer. In this stark landscape, we also meet Kevin Allen, a respected school teacher who believes in making a difference. He strives to bridge the gap where the paychecks have ceased, assisting parents to keep their children in school through government vouchers. During the day, Darius and his family put on brave faces, trying to blend into the everyday crowd. But when night falls, they retreat into the shadows, clinging to each other in a desperate bid to remain unseen in a country that has seemingly forgotten them. But what happens when the paths of these two men intersect?
