Hero of Rome (1964)

In a city writhing in the throes of chaos and despair, only the heroism of one man, General Gaius Mucius Scaevola, may offer a glimmer of hope. Rome is in dire straits, its sovereignty threatened by the Etruscan overlords. The once mighty city now quivers under the relentless siege, its people on the brink of famine and desperation. The former despot king, Tarquinius, ousted from his throne, has sought refuge in neighboring Etruria. In his thirst for power and vengeance, he beseeches King Porsenna, the ruler of the Etruscans, to lend him the might of his army.
