In the vibrant tapestry of Roman history, we find Atti, an ingenious teenager whose intellect often lands him in hot water. His latest escapade goes awry, irking the infamous Emperor Nero and resulting in his reluctant conscription into the Roman Army. Exiled to the dreary, rain-soaked landscapes of Britain, where the natives are anything but welcoming, Atti finds himself navigating a world of rebellion and revolt.
His life takes an unexpected turn when he is ensnared by the fiery Celtic teenager, Orla. Determined to establish herself as a warrior, Orla sees Atti as her ticket to validation. After a close encounter with death in a treacherous bog, Atti utilizes his Roman savvy to aid Orla in her mission to save her kidnapped grandmother from a hostile tribe.
Back in Rome, a seething Nero is hellbent on quashing the growing rebellion commanded by Boudicca, the formidable Queen of the Iceni. As Atti is summoned back to his Roman comrades, he finds them gearing up for a monumental confrontation with the Celts at the Battle of Watling Street. Atti's intellectual prowess could turn the tide of the battle, but this could also spell doom for his newfound friend, Orla, as they find themselves on opposing ends of a historic battlefield.
