Plot

In "Here Comes Mr. Jordan," we're introduced to Joe Pendleton, a gallant boxer en route to championship glory when an errant brush with fate derails his ascent. While piloting his personal aircraft, a catastrophic crash seemingly escorts him to the afterlife. However, there's a twist in the tale: his untimely demise is a celestial blunder, courtesy of an inexperienced Heavenly Messenger, 7013, who prematurely snatched Joe's spirit from his body. In the celestial realm, Mr. Jordan, the celestial overseer, discovers the error and orders Joe's return. But on Earth, Joe's earthly remains have been prematurely cremated by his manager, Max Corkle, leaving no body for his spirit to return to. With an air of divine pragmatism, Mr. Jordan proposes a temporary solution, promising to find another body for Joe's spirit to inhabit. Enter Bruce Farnsworth, a wealthy but morally bankrupt magnate on the verge of being offed by his conniving wife Julia and her accomplice, his secretary Tony Abbott. Initially, Joe is reluctant to step into Farnsworth's tainted shoes. His perspective shifts, however, when he encounters the virtuous Bette Logan, and he decides to don the mantle of Farnsworth, if only for a while. In his new persona, Joe endeavors to reverse Farnsworth's unscrupulous deeds, weaving his own values into the fabric of Farnsworth's life. But as he navigates this borrowed existence, he succumbs to an unexpected emotion - love for Bette. Meanwhile, the shadow of Farnsworth's murderous wife still looms. And as Joe's time in Farnsworth's skin was never meant to be permanent, Mr. Jordan has his own divine plans. "Here Comes Mr. Jordan" is a tale of second chances, love, and the power of redemption, all set against the backdrop of a celestial comedy of errors.
