Bethany Cain, an audacious interior designer hailing from Boulder, is on the brink of an illustrious career breakthrough. Her innovative design concept of “MAP” (Meaning, Abundance, Peace) forms the cornerstone of her recently published book and her brand. To celebrate the book's release and promote her concept, Bethany organizes a contest, promising the winner a complete home makeover using her signature MAP method. This contest catches the keen eye of a national home decor magazine, adding another layer of excitement but also pressure as she must choose the winner and complete the transformation within a breathless three-week countdown to Christmas. From a sea of entries, Bethany is captivated by a heartfelt letter from an earnest 13-year-old, Zoe Oliver. Zoe wishes for the home makeover for her widowed father, Grant Oliver. Grant's story is heartrending; he and his late wife had purchased their house just before her untimely demise. Clinging to the cherished memories, Grant remains resistant to any change in the house, often attributing this resistance to Zoe's sentiments. Juggling the roles of both parents to Zoe and diving headfirst into his demanding job as the newly-appointed activities director at the Windermere Mountain Lodge, Grant is an unwilling participant in the makeover, a resistance that could jeopardize Bethany's soaring career. As Bethany embarks on her challenging mission, the community around Grant and Bethany, including the vibrant Zoe, rally to help. Slowly, Bethany begins to chip away at the fortress Grant has built around his heart, introducing him to the possibility of new beginnings.
