Plot
Diao, a man emboldened with his father's dying wish, embarks on a journey to reconnect with an old ally sequestered in a secluded village. His arrival stirs the still waters of the hamlet as he succeeds in a series of riveting challenges, conquering the thrilling buffalo race, mastering the boxing competition, and capturing the heart of the village belle. Diao further disrupts the status quo, winning the ire of local thugs when he champions the plight of the impoverished.
However, Diao's heroism does not end there. When the sacred head of a Buddha statue is stolen from the village temple, he relentlessly pursues the thieves, restoring the revered relic. But triumph turns to tragedy as he is confronted by the wrathful gangsters on his victorious return. In a savage twist of fate, Diao is decapitated, his life brutally cut short. Yet, death is not the end for our hero. Awakened as a headless specter, Diao readies himself for a spectral showdown, his thirst for vengeance as potent as ever.
